Appeal fund - June 2009

The appeal fund was set up on April 3rd 2006. There is a committee of 10 people, including a treasurer, who manages the fund. The committee members, in alphabetical order, are Ruth Bingham, Sue Bottomley, Pam Grice, Louise Keightley, Heather Harris, Lorraine Harris, Catherine Mariethoz, Charlie Mariethoz, Angela Mckillop and Tracey Webb.

The committee members have worked extremely hard over the last 3 years. Not only have they organised a James Bond Themed Auction Night, a Masked Ball, Fun Days and a Raffle, they have also supported other events that have taken place.

We would also like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated items, cash and time, especially those who have organised and held their own events on behalf of Charlottes Challenge. Click here to see past events. We really do appreciate the support and generosity of all those who have helped with our appeal.

To date just over £70,000 has been raised, an incredible amount in just 3 years. Unfortunately, at over £12-14,000 a time, 8 attempts already paid for and the next attempt imminent - the balance in the account is in the red. Thankfully that’s floating around on interest free credit cards at the moment! Therefore we still need to raise funds.
