Treatment - June 2009

To date we have had eight attempts at PGD with unfortunately no success.

For various reasons it hasn’t worked, either we have had no matches at all or we have had a match but it hasn’t developed sufficiently to be able to be implanted.

On the last attempt in March we did have a healthy match and it was implanted. We and everyone close to us was ecstatic. We felt this surely was the one, but sadly no it wasn’t to be because it failed to implant. This one out of all of them was so hard for us to recover from, we were so so near. It took the wind out of everyone’s sails.

We are going to try again in the next few months but we have to say it does get harder and harder both mentally and physically with each attempt. Last time it was so close this has to be the one.
